Keiki Corner Curriculum
Biblical Curriculum for Two Year Olds. Leading small children into God’s presence to experience and get to know Him as Creator, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“Keiki Corner” is a program first developed on YWAM’s University of the Nations campus in Kailua Kona, HI in the 1970s. Using the seeds of early Keiki Corner materials, themes and lessons were created through the collaborative efforts of many parent-teachers over two decades. Today the curriculum is used for groups of mostly two year olds from many nations, who gather three mornings a week and are led by two or three parents.
Lessons are intended to be used in a 10-20 minute circle/activity time over one year and then repeated. Two year olds are amazingly inquisitive and creative, still very concrete thinkers so there are simple themes, lots of singing, repetition and use of visual and hands on materials. In the words of the psalmist … We will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders…..So each generation will set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Psalm 78:4,7
